Mzansi stood by Zahara during her health battle

Fans rushed to support the famous singer on social media when they heard that her health was getting worse last month. Many prayed for her recovery and sent her their best wishes in messages on X and other platforms.

Sad to say, Zahara died on Monday night at a hospital in Johannesburg, and the cause of death is still yet to be confirmed officially. The singer’s family vehemently denies any reports of her cause death being linked to liver problems as they said they are yet to released a statement.

Zahara left behind a legacy that goes beyond singing. The sad news was revealed by the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) on X.

President Cyril Ramaphosa shared a tribute in video form to Zahara. In the video, the head of state was raving about Zahara’s talent and said she was one of the biggest talents the country produced. Watch the clip:

In a touching post on Zahara’s Instagram, her family called her “a pure light and an even purer heart in this world,” highlighting how she was a source of hope and blessing for many people around the world.
