“We’ll never see Reeva’s smile”: Oscar Pistorius’ 1st pics since prison anger SA, Steenkamp family lawyer comments

Oscar Pistorius has been in headlines since he was released from prison in January 2024 for the murder of Reeva Steenkamp. Disgraced Olympian Oscar Pistorius got his picture snapped and people saw how he was doing since he was released.

Where is Oscar Pistorius ?

Since his release from prison Oscar Pistorius has been living in a Pretoria suburb Waterkloof in his uncle’s mansion. According to EWN, the first pictures of Oscar walking was captured by Deaan Vivier for Netwerk24, Gallo Images. The set of pictures have since gone viral on X as the photographer managed to snap the moment Oscar smiled and they quickly spread on social media.

Oscar Pistorius’ smile enrages SA

Oscar’s release was controversial and the latest pictures of him as a free man caused some outrage. The Olympian showed clear signs of aging with bits of greying hair but some people thought he looked at peace.

Daily Mail reported that the new picture of Oscar Pistorius walking and smiling angered those who were close to Reeva. The Steenkamp’s family lawyer Tania Koen said:

“I feel sorry for June (Reeva’s mother), she will never get to see Reeva’s smile, ever.”

What are Oscar Pistorius’ parole conditions?

While in Pretoria and he has to follow strict parole rules after serving nine years for shooting his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day in 2013. Oscar has to attend anger management classes, he must be alcohol free, not own any weapons and may not speak to the media until 2029.
