Well known philanthropist and social media personality BI Phakathi is trending for his good deeds once again after blessing a family with a home.
BI Phakathi wins people’s hearts once again
On 09 May 2024, faceless hero BI Phakathi shared a video on his Facebook page where he surprises a family of seven with a newly built house. In the video, Phakathi is seen talking to a young child saying he was there to deliver what he promised. The family cut the ribbon and were ready to enter their brand new home and have incredibly emotional reactions to the surprise.
The family in the video were not the only people deeply touched by Phakathi’s act of kindness. All over social media South African’s have been praising his service to those in need; “He is doing the Lord’s work” said @Therealsmomo.

BI Phakathi follows in his parents’ footsteps
According to BI Phakathi Foundation, the philanthropist and life coach was inspired by his parents acts of kindness and he began his philanthropic work in the early 2000s with food and clothing donations to the homeless. The BI Phakathi Foundation explained:
“He soon realised that there were many more people in need, and decided to expand his efforts. BI Phakathi started filming his acts of kindness and sharing them on social media, hoping to inspire others to do the same.”
BI Phakhathi gains popularity on social media
His acts of kindness had a huge impact on social media and his following quickly grew to the millions. He currently has 9.3 million Facebook followers, 597 thousand Instagram followers and 2.9 million TikTok follower. Even through his growing popularity on platforms like TikTok and Facebook, BI Phakathi has continued to remain anonymous with his real name, address and photos private. His pages focus on sharing his philanthropic efforts.
BI Phakathi helps generous netizens
In a post shared to the Twitter platform (X) on October 4 2023, the man who came to be known as a hero to the homeless revealed that he was having some financial difficulties as he had poured all his resources into helping those in need. He asked his followers for prayers of support as fighting poverty was part of a much bigger fight. According to IOL BI Phakhathi later revealed that he was looking to find generous people and he donated to those who heeded his call and sent money.
