Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 trailer was just released after a leak, and fans couldn’t help but sit on the edge of their seats in anticipation.
The game is said to be released in 2025, but that has done little to deter excitement as most have been waiting ten years to get a trailer.
Was GTA 6 leaked?
Rockstar Games took to Twitter to announce the trailer release of the 6th part of the beloved GTA after a leak. The game developer meant to release it on 5 December 2023, but the company admitted that the snippet of the game was leaked earlier. They hoped their official version in HD would still excite viewers.
The leak could be seen as a blessing in disguise as it brought even more views to the trailer. The trailer features the first GTA female protagonist in peek graphic artistry with beautiful and crude imagery. It amassed 55 million views on YouTube within 10 hours of its release.
The current teaser provides limited information. It showcases rapid scenes set to Tom Petty’s Love is a Long Road, featuring beach scenes, late-night parties, and a significant focus on a heist planned by Lucia and her partner. This marks the introduction of a female antihero in the Grand Theft Auto series, and the setting seems to be returning to Vice City.

It has been a ten-year wait, even so, most of the fandom feels that the wait was worth it. Comments left on the Rockstar Games YouTube channel expressed positive sentiments, mostly focused on the graphics.
