The matric 2023 results from schools in Johannesburg, Polokwane and other areas were outstanding as all their matriculants passed exams.
St Johns, Rodean School, and a township school in Orange Farm were part of the group that made history as the best-performing grade 12s in SA’s history.
Here is a list of the five schools that got 100% for their matric 2023 results and how much they would cost in matric.
1. Jabez Christian Academy, Polokwane
Jabez Christian Academy achieved an impressive 100% pass rate in the 2023 IEB results for Grade 12 learners. Though the students undoubtedly worked hard, the school places a strong emphasis on holistic education, nurturing students both academically and personally.
The school costs R37 440 per year and a R600 fundraising for grades 10-12. There will also be an additional fee of R8 605 for the IEB Exam Registration in Grade 12.
2. Roedean School, Johannesburg
A school that captured excitement from the class of 2023 as part of the matric results coverage. The school’s dedication to providing a supportive learning environment has not only resulted in continuous success but also reflected its impressive 100% pass rate.
Roedean school day scholar fees are R71 441 per term / R203 607 per year for grades 10-12. There is also a building levy per pupil of R7 218 and pupil insurance for R170 per year.
3. Imbali Combined School, Orange Farm
A township school Imbaili Combined School defied odds with a remarkable 100% pass rate. This contributed to the highest overall pass rate of 82.9% in 2023.
Grade 12 fees are R 14 214 yearly and the R60 registration fee.
4. St. John’s College, Johannesburg
This is another school that demonstrated exceptional performance with a perfect 100% pass rate in the 2023 IEB exams. The school’s commitment to empowering the youth through education is evident in its achievement of a 100% pass rate.
St Johns costs R 20 154 per month for grade 8-12 tuition. Annual fees of R206 768 are payable on or before 31 January 2024.
5. Gqeberha-based Schools – St Dominic’s Priory and Theodor Herzl High School
Two schools in Gqeberha maintained a consistent 100% pass rate in the IEB exams for the year 2023. This further extended their success. These schools are renowned for their commitment to producing well-rounded individuals. With an unwavering focus on academic rigour, the school consistently achieves a 100% pass rate, preparing students for success beyond the classroom.
St Dominic’s Priory costs R7 262 per month or R69 400 with a 5 % discount per year. This excluded the IEB matric exam registration fee. Theodor Herzl costs R10 818 per month in grade 12 and a R9 000 deposit on acceptance with R8000 refundable at the end of the first year.
