South Africa’s soccer team made the country proud after facing Benin in Durban at Moses Mabida Stadium

Bafana Bafana is notorious for losing, and they were placed in Group C for qualifiers in the Fifa World Cup. The group includes Nigeria, South Africa, Benin, Zimbabwe, Rwanda and Lesotho.

The South African team has to battle it out to be one of the nine African teams that will be at the FIFA World Cup 2026. Bafana is nearly there after beating Benin 2 -1 thanks to Percy Tau, and Khuliso Mudau, who scored his first goal for the national team. Benin’s Steve Mounie scored a goal in the 80th minute.
