“Film the apology”: Jelly Babie collects Ls as Big Save defends cashier against influencer, SA pleased

Jelly Babie, a Barcardi dancer and influencer recently got a real taste of cancel culture over a video of her interacting with a cashier at Big Save.

The TikTok creator had an unsavory exchange with the Big Save retail worker and it blew up on X.

What did Jelly Babie do?

Barcardi dancer Jelly Babie felt that she received bad service from a Big Save cashier. The influencer recorded herself insulting the retail worker and she showed her followers hoping they would be on her side. The opposite came true as people thought that she was extremely rude. Eventually the cashier was suspended temporarily over disrespect but in an official statment, Big Save clarified that it was simply protocol pending an investigation. They also apologised to the employee. Most recently, a voice note, that is allegedly Jelly Babie apologising, made rounds on the socials.

How did Jelly Babie get canceled?

Jelly Babie’s video made the rounds on social media and it sparked outrage and she went from 600 000 to 100 000 TikTok followers. The drastic fall in followers got more people’s attention and it cost her a sponsorship. P Square Beauty Parlpur ended their collaboration with the TikTokker due to the outrage. SA drags Jelly Babie for mistreating Big Save cashier

Many people pointed out that Jelly Babie deserved to be called out for her behavior toward the Big Save employee. Netizens felt that the influencer was arrogant and were not moved by the alleged apology.
