Cassie alleges Sean Combs lured her
The statement by Cassie paints a grim picture of how her ambition in music was used against her. The lawsuit details that Cassie was signed to Bad Boy Records at 19. In the legal documents, Cassie’s lawyer describes the relationship with Cassie as a double-edged sword:
“He provided unprecedented avenues for success for the aspiring artist but in return, demanded obedience, loyalty and silence.”
Cassie released her biggest hit, Me & You in 2005. She gave the world an iconic song signed with Bad Boys Management. Cassie went on to release Long Way 2 Go, which also became a 2000s hit.
For the music success, Cassie alleges she suffered over ten years of brutal abuse that amounted to eight counts of harm at the hands of P Diddy and associates. How does that happen?
P Diddy allegedly trapped Cassie Ventura with influence
In the legal claim, Cassie alleged that her career was leveraged against her. One time, she was beaten to a pulp and shooed away by staff who witnessed the assault. She hid at a friend’s and refused to speak to Sean Combs. The president of Bad Boy Management, James Cruz, allegedly told her that her upcoming single at the time would be held back if she did not answer Diddy’s calls.
A Sony Music representative followed up with the same threat, and then Diddy’s attorney relayed a similar message. Cassie’s legal team argues that Diddy’s “powerful network would force her back to him” which trapped her in a vicious cycle of abuse.
The allegations in the legal documents against P Diddy are damning. Most are serious crimes, and netizens are curious if Sean Combs could catch a criminal case from the DA.
