The fall of an apartheid activist

President Geingbo played a pivotal role in Namibia’s history, contributing significantly to the nation’s journey towards independence and subsequent development. He spent 27 years in exile in Botswana, fighting against Apartheid rule.

At the time, Namibia was known as South West Africa and was under apartheid South Africa’s rule. As a key figure in the liberation struggle, President Geingob’s political career saw him hold various leadership positions, including Prime Minister and President, contributing to the post-independence stability and progress of Namibia. His dedication to public service has left a lasting impact on the country’s political landscape and socio-economic development
