Any visitors from around the world headed for Kenya, will no longer require a visa to enter Kenya. William Ruto declared the move in hopes of boosting tourism. Wondering what spots are a must-visit in the Pride of Africa, you’re in the right place.

1. Maasai Mara National Reserve

Maasai Mara National Reserve in southwestern Kenya is not only famous for its breathtaking wildlife, reserve boasts diverse beautiful landscapes. The national reserve stretches from the open savannah to the Mara River.

The best time to visit is from July to October, as that is when the famous great migration typically occurs. During this period, millions of wildebeest, zebras, and other herbivores migrate from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Maasai Mara in Kenya in search of greener pastures. A sight one has to see at least once.

2. Mount Kenya

Is known for its stunning beauty, and diverse ecosystems ranging from rainforests to alpine moorlands. It also has cultural significance to the Kikuyu people.

People from around the world come to test themselves in challenging climbing opportunities and marvel at the surprising glacial features. As Africa’s second-highest peak, it stands out as a captivating destination with a blend of nature and culture.

3. Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park is a place renowned for its breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park (39 206 hectares) also offers abundant wildlife, including large herds of elephants, lions, and numerous bird species.

In addition, its unique landscape features swamps, marshes, and open plains. All this makes it a distinct and picturesque safari destination with a backdrop of the iconic Kilimanjaro.

4. Lamu Island

The port in Kenya has an incredibly rich cultural heritage. Lamu Island has well-preserved Swahili architecture and a relaxed atmosphere. This UNESCO World Heritage Site boasts narrow winding streets, historic stone buildings, and a unique blend of Arab, Persian, Indian, and European influences.
