Pink Friday 2 by Nicki Minaj experienced multiple delays. Though originally set for October 20, 2023, it was pushed back to November 17 due to the Barbz (Nicki’s fans) dismay.
The final delay came when Minaj, during an Instagram livestream in October 2023, announced that the new release date would be 8 December 2023. This last delay was attributed to the vinyl pressing of the album, which wouldn’t be ready until the week of 1 December 2023. Despite these delays, Minaj expressed her pride and emotions about finally releasing the album.
Pink Friday 2 by Nicki Minaj officially dropped
In true superstar fashion, Nicki Minaj announced the release of “Pink Friday 2” through a video posted on her Instagram. In the video, she shared a 22-song tracklist and featured a pink aeroplane flying through pink skies, setting the theme for the album.
The announcement video included scenes of the pink interior of the plane and Minaj’s voice preparing listeners for “landing.” The post on Instagram provided fans with details about the tracks, collaborations, and the anticipated release date of December 8, aligning with her 41st birthday. Nicki has expressed appreciation and excitement over the release. She told fans:
“I am so filled with emotion about it because, as y’all know, it’s been a long time coming.”
